purpose, coaching, coach Cheri AlguireI bet 2020 has not gone according to the plan you set on January 1, it hasn’t for any of us!

We all know how much COVID-19 has drastically altered the business world. Because people are unable to meet personally with one another, many businesses have experienced significant problems staying open.

I’m sure you too have had your fair share of trials in your business. But that doesn’t mean you should give up.

You had a goal at the start of 2020.

You made plans, and you started implementing those plans then COVID-19 hit the country.

And it hit the country hard.

“How do I start getting back up on my feet?”

The answer is simple. Go back to understanding your purpose.

What was your purpose when the year started?

Purpose provides the foundation of our values, vision and goals. Purpose gives meaning to everything we do in our personal and professional lives, yet not all of us recognize our purpose or can articulate it.

When you understand the purpose of your goals, you’ll find the motivation to get up and move forward no matter the odds.

How do you accomplish this?

Begin with a “Purpose Statement”.

A “Purpose Statement” for your life is a few sentences that summarize your “WHY” for life. What really matters for YOU?  What are YOU all about?  What is your “Life Purpose Statement”?

Then we can focus on your Business.  Have you had a time, professionally, in the past year when you have said, “This is why I do what I do everyday”?  Describe that experience.

What do you offer that is unique or excites you?

A “Purpose Statement” for your business is a few sentences that describe the “WHY” you have a business in the real estate industry.

If you are a real estate agent, you do have your own business in this industry. What is your purpose statement for your business?

Business and Life Purpose Statements can provide a basis for creating a vision and goals that are truly meaningful.  They can also help drive us on a daily basis to do the things we need to do to reach our goals.

All this may sound too complicated for you to get around, but you don’t have to do it on your own.

Having a helping hand to guide you in the right direction is always helpful to achieving your goals. Take hiring a coach as an example.
